Henry Bravo is a Venezuelan percussionist, DJ, and dancer using Latin music as a common thread, Henry takes audiences on a rhythmic journey tracing the roots of modern Latin music — from African rhythms through genres such as Guaracha, Danzón, Cha-cha-chá, Bolero, Son Montuno, Mambo, Merengue, Plena, and Timba, all the way to what we now know as Salsa.

Our Latin Thing takes over Bar Doña for a night dedicated to progressive salsa — a celebration of the genre’s most forward-thinking sounds. Expect bold, boundary-pushing selections that capture the evolution of Latin music’s artistry. This is salsa with a vision — progressive, percussive, and unapologetically alive.
Adding to the energy, a live percussion trio of timbales, congas, and bongos will bring the music to life, featuring special guest and selector Will Fox — South London’s renowned Latin music specialist, vinyl collector, and percussionist.

Hey familia, we continue our 'Four Fridays in' residency in March with four Fridays of Salsa & music from the Latin diaspora 🌶️
VALERIA weaves roots drum music from Abya Yala with deep electronic pulses, a ceremony for body and soul on the dancefloor. She’s the DJ behind La Matandó and has played at iconic London parties such as Serpiente Cósmica, Bonita, Muévete! and Clandestina, and festivals like Wilderness and Tonnau.
Expect a lush blend of folkloric to futuristic afro-latin electronic sounds on the dance floor. Buena música, buena vibra y mucha sabrosura y amor asegurados!

Hey familia, we continue our 'Four Fridays in' residency in March with four Fridays of Salsa & music from the Latin diaspora 🌶️
Carlos’s selections move across Salsa flowing through Son Montuno, Cumbia, Brazilian and african funky & jazzy soulful sonics filled with plenty of live percussion accompanied by Cuban maestro timbalero Mr Randy Lester Echavarria.
Casa Del Soul Launch Party
Casa del Soul is where DJs, dancers, and fashion lovers come together to let loose, express themselves, and dance the night away in style - this edition is extra special as we celebrate our friend Payam’s birthday, bringing even more energy to the floor. Expect a vibrant Latin core sound layered with a fusion of global flavours throughout the night. Everyone attending is invited to take part in our dance competition, where you’ll be rated on your funky moves, style, and confidence for the chance to win a fun prize. Open to all levels - the only rule is To improvise, feel the music, and show up exactly as you are.

Fun'n' friendly comedy night showcasing the girls, gays & theys in an independent female owned cocktail bar. Come swathe yourself in Doña's plush pink surroundings, sip a signature mezcal cocktail and let yourself be entertained. The line-ups are made up of sparkly up-and-coming talent mixed with established stars. Frida KahLOL is proud to have a special debutante slot for new performers to try comedy for the first time in a supportive (and glamorous) environment.
Tickets are a bargain as "Nothing is worth more than laughing" -Frida Kahlo.
Doors at 7pm and show time is at 7:30pm. We recommend arriving early enough to secure your favourite chaise longue/table seats.

Sapphic Salsa
We’re back! This time for a salsa night, followed by a classic social with all of your favourite gamesWelcome back sapphics!
On Thursday 19th March we’re hosting a Salsa & Sobremesa night at the sexy Bar Doña.
The night will start with a one hour salsa lesson from 8-9pm. This will be super chilled, very beginner friendly, but all abilities are more than welcome. This will be followed by a classic ‘Sapphic Nights’ social; music, drinks, games and dancing too if people wish. Relax in Doña’s calm, sexy interior, sharing nibbles and mezcal between your new found queer friends.
If you wish to skip the salsa class, and come for the sobremesa, please feel free to do so! The venue will be open until 1am.

This in-person dating event comes with a difference: tickets are sold to queer single women who have to bring another queer single woman along with them. That way, it ensures that everyone in attendance has been vetted by another person.
Each ticket includes one free drink on arrival.
RED LIPS puts women first because it's what we deserve.

While there's no specific age range, please bear in mind that these events are currently aimed at women in their 30s and is inclusive of all queer and trans women as well as non-binary people.

Live poetry writing with Ali-Ali will sit with his typewriter and create a poem just for you. Each piece is original, written in the moment, and yours to take home as a keepsake.
Fāl e Hafez with Farahnaz-Poetry divination is a cultural practice that runs deep in Persian culture. With Farahnaz, you will get your own unique reading.
Food:
Alongside our full programme, your soul will be nourished by Mana, @theiranianvegan, who will be preparing a delicious sofreh - tablespread. Khooneye khodeteh - it is your home - so feel comfortable and help yourself to a vegan Persian mazze. Special nostalgic snacks will also be available.

POETRY IN MOTION with Amy Allen, DJ Spectrum & guests is a night of Spoken Words served up on a bed of house beats. A chance for us to move our bodies and ignite our souls together in the wonderful bosom of Doňa, a vibey queer friendly mezcal bar based in Dalston/ Stoke Newington.
Featuring queer spoken word artists and musicians collaborating with each other in the moment, with the added opportunity for an open mic spot.
Tune in to the rhythm of your own beat as in syncs with others. Allow the words to wash through you, music to move with you, and experience spoken word as you never have before.

Join us for a powerful evening of live music, poetry performances, and an art & books market dedicated to raising urgent funds for five families in Gaza.
This event is in collaboration with Femmesocial Press and Ethereal Maison and is a full fundraiser— 100% of all gross sales and revenue from the night (excluding drinks from the bar) will be sent directly to support these families.
